Our History
1979 – A Trusted
Beginning
Before Talencia had its name, the heart behind it was already in motion. In 1979, Dental Auxiliary Service (DAS) was founded by Nitia Morris, building trusted connections between dental offices and talented professionals. That same year, the Sony Walkman made its debut, and the world was dancing to portable music for the first time— just like DAS was hitting its stride in bringing movement to dental staffing.
2014 – The Formation of KAD
Fast-forward to 2014, and KAD was born, a modern, purpose-driven company with a heart for people and a vision for innovation. Around the world, Malala Yousafzai won the Nobel Peace Prize, and Instagram introduced video ads —a sign of just how much the world (and business) was changing. KAD entered the space with a bold step forward and a passion for serving professionals.
2018 – A Powerful Partnership
In 2018, KAD and DAS joined force —combining decades of trust with forward-thinking leadership. That same year, the world tuned in to Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding, and Apple hit a $1 trillion market cap. It was a year of breaking barriers and writing new stories, just like KAD was doing in the world of dental staffing.
Today – Talencia by KAD
Now, we’ve grown into Talencia by KAD —a name that reflects our mission of connecting talent + excellence across not just dental, but also medical and non-clinical healthcare staffing. What began as a local dental staffing service has expanded into a people-first, industry-leading agency that supports healthcare professionals and practices across multiple sectors.
